Emotional Support through Drawing and Talking Therapeutic Intervention

Creative, Compassionate Support for Children and Young People

We offer gentle, creative emotional support through Drawing and Talking Therapeutic Intervention—a child-led therapeutic approach that helps children explore feelings they may not yet have the words for.

Whether a young person is experiencing anxiety, low mood, emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), family change, or friendship challenges, Drawing and Talking Therapeutic Intervention provides a safe, non-judgmental space where they can process emotions through drawing and conversation—at their own pace and in their own way.

How Drawing and Talking Therapeutic Intervention Helps

Drawing and Talking Therapeutic Intervention is rooted in a trauma-informed, attachment-aware approach, offering children and young people:

  • A consistent, trusting adult relationship
  • A creative outlet to express complex emotions
  • Support with emotional regulation and self-esteem
  • A space to reflect, heal, and grow in confidence

What we offer

  • 1:1 therapeutic sessions tailored to each child’s needs
  • Short-term intervention programmes ideal for school or home transitions
  • Group emotional literacy workshops to build self-awareness and peer connection
  • Collaboration with schools and families to ensure consistent, wraparound support

Why Drawing?

Sometimes, children don’t have the words. That’s where drawing can help.

Drawing and Talking Therapeutic Intervention helps bridge the gap between feelings and language—allowing children to express difficult emotions in a safe, symbolic way that’s natural and familiar.
